How does Saxenda work?
Saxenda contains the active ingredient: Liraglutide. Lirgalutide is a Glucogon-Like Peptide-1 (GLP-1) analogue. GLP-1 is produced naturally in the human body and Liraglutide is a synthetic version of that natural version with 97% amino acid sequence similarity.
Natural GLP-1 is produced in the body in response to food consumption. In the simplest terms, GLP-1 is a messaging system to tell our bodies that no more food is required. By delivering Liraglutide via a simple injection on a daily basis, that messaging system is activated, and we will feel less desire to eat and we will be satisfied with less food. Reduced food consumption should lead to weight loss.
How is Saxenda administered?
Saxenda (Liraglutide) is a daily injection using a very easy to use, dose-adjusted pen that is pre-filled with the medication. All you have to do is set the dial to the correct dosage and inject under the skin of the abdomen. The starting dosage for Liraglutide is 0.6 mg per day. You inject the medication at the same time each day, so choose a time that will always be convenient for you (we recommend the morning). The maximum dosage is 3.0 mg per day, but you must follow the dosing and titration instructions to minimise the risk of side effects. Side effects of Saxenda
All medications have the potential for side effects but Liraglutide is remarkably well tolerated if taken as directed. Some people experience a little nausea to begin with, but most people find that this dissipates with continued use. Other side effects include indigestion and diarrhoea. Most people do not get any side effects at all (other than minor nausea at dose increases).
Effectiveness of Liraglutide
Clinical studies have shown Liraglutide to be a highly effective and safe weight loss agent, with people losing clinically significant levels of weight at both the 1.8 mg dose and the 3.0 mg dose. In addition, blood pressure was reduced and there was a marked reduction in levels of C-Reactive Protein (an inflammatory marker associated with cardiovascular risk). Around 65% of patients will achieve meaningful weight loss with Saxenda.

Very discreet to store and simple to use. Regarding side effects; I experienced some slight reflux and nausea for the first couple of months. This soon subsided and apart from that I have experienced no other symptoms. Prior to using the product I had extremely poor willpower and binged regularly. To whom it may concern, I’ve ordered new weight loss medication and I wasn’t sure if that amount is enough, or how long it’s going to take me. I’ve stopped with the tables cuz I’m having anxiety chest pains and so I haven’t started the tablets yet and I’m trying to swab to Saxenda. Please provide me with more knowledge as this will be my first time and I’m not sure if it’s ok for me(gallstones, asthma etc)

Arrived promptly and well packaged next day delivery. Pack of needles and pen plus info brochure and paperwork. Only on day 2 but definitely have immediately felt no hunger pangs. When I get into the car for work I am already thinking what to get to eat. Now I am only cooking dinner in tiny portions. No side effects at all. Maybe I have eaten the wrong food to make this happen but it hasn't so I'm not complaining.

I have been taking saxenda for around 6 months and have been loosing weight at a good pace. the product is easy to administer and helps curb my appetite. I can still eat as normal but I am full much quicker than before. It suits me as I don't have a lot of time to exercise and I did not have any side effecrs.

I have had excellent results with this product and no significant side effects. It works in a very subtle way to make you feel fuller quicker. This can have the effect of feeling light-headed or unwell because you've not eaten enough. You do need to figure out how best to manage energy dips - mine was to have plenty of fruit to hand that I could snack on. Dinners shrunk by over half and could take me a long time to eat. Frustrating but well worth it in the long run. You will see a good result from the first pack of 5 pens.

Saxenda works well at reducing your appetite, but for me the nausea, heartburn and headaches can be a bit much including the price, once you are on the full dosage. It's excellent for a quick fix, I would use it again to shed the last few pounds, but it's imperative that you make and keep healthy lifestyle changes!

I have finished 5 Pens and I lost 9.2 Kg. This is the most effective weightlost medicine. I have other health problem so I can't exercise at all. Before using Saxenda, I've tried many weightlost ways (yes without exercise lol) but nothing was work. So I decided to try this and it's works. As I mentioned, I can't exercise so all 9.2kg weightlost credit goes to Saxenda.

I have just started my 3rd week on Saxenda, and it is helping my weight loss. But, I am concerned about my increased resting hear rate. I know this is a known side -effect but mine seems to have increased significantly. For example prior to Saxenda my average rhr was 57 bpm. Week 1 on Saxenda it increased to 61 bpm and in week 2 64bpm.
