+ Acne
-
Acne is a skin condition that affects mainly young people but it can persist into adulthood. Overproduction of sebum causes hair follicles to become blocked. Bacteria that live harmlessly on the skin can then infect the hair follicle and cause nodules or cysts to form.
There are a number of medications that can be prescribed from oral antibiotics to creams and solutions to be applied direct to the affected area.

+ Rosacea
-
Rosacea is a skin condition that affects the T zone of the face. The exact cause is not known and finding a treatment that works is a case of trial and error as something that works for one patient may not work for another patient. We can offer a range of treatments. If you have a tried and tested medication then this is what we will recommend.
Although no causal link can be identified, many people will notice a trigger for their Rosacea so it is best to try to avoid these triggers.

+ Psoriasis
-
Psoriasis is an inflammatory skin condition caused by skin cells regenerating too quickly. Treatments are a case of trial and error so when you find one that works, you should stick with it. We can prescribe your usual treatment or we can try you on something new if you have failed to find anything that works well for you.

+ Eczema
-
There are a number of different types of eczema but it is again an inflammatory skin condition caused by certain triggers. These can be allergens or irritants. In most cases an emollient application will help but topical steroids may be required and these can be prescribed through The Online Clinic. If the eczema is particularly bad or covers a larger area then we can prescribe an antibiotic that has anti-inflammatory properties. In some case, oral steroids are required but these are not suitable for online prescribing.
