What is Acomplia is and what it is used for

The active ingredient in Acomplia is Rimonabant. It works by blocking specific receptors in the hypothalamus of the brain and fat tissues called CB1 receptors. Acomplia is indicated in the treatment of obesity and management of body weight as an adjunct to diet and exercise.

How to take Acomplia

Side Effects

Like all medications, Acomplia can cause certain side effects, although not everybody gets them. Very common side effects (more than 10%) include:

Most people do not get any side effects at all but you should report any side effects that you do get to your doctor who will advise whether it is wise to continue with the treatment.
